Vineet Narain’s ‘Aao Sajayein Kanha Ka Braj’ Re-Launched in Lucknow

Lucknow: The book Aao Sajayein Kanha Ka Braj, authored by senior journalist and President of The Braj Foundation, Vineet Narain, was re-launched in Lucknow at a special event held at Halwasiya Court. The programme was attended by Sudhir Halwasiya, trustees of The Braj Foundation, eminent guests, and media representatives.

The book was originally released earlier at Vrindavan by the world-renowned saint Sant Premanand Ji Maharaj, who, in his foreword, described the work as “an inspiration for generations to come.” The re-launch in Lucknow aimed to bring wider attention to the cultural, spiritual, and ecological heritage of the Braj region.

Based on Narain’s 23 years of dedicated work, the book documents the restoration and beautification efforts undertaken by The Braj Foundation since 2002. Without any financial support from the State or Central Government, the Foundation has restored several neglected kunds, forests, hills, Yamuna ghats, and sacred leela sthalis in Braj to international standards.

Key restoration sites include Brahma Kund, Ramtal, and Sevakunj in Vrindavan; Rinmochan Kund and Rudra Kund in Govardhan; Jal Mahal and Gahvar Van in Barsana; Kaliya Naag Mardan Temple in Jaint village; Brahmavan in Chhata; Koil Ghat in Gokul; and the Kedarnath and Gauri temples in Kaman. These initiatives have been widely appreciated by pilgrims and devotees.

The Braj Foundation has also advised both the Uttar Pradesh Government and the Government of India on Mathura–Braj development and prepared the region’s first Tourism Master Plan. Prominent national figures, including former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, have praised the Foundation’s achievements.

Sudhir Halwasiya noted that the book comprises 34 engaging chapters, enriched with hundreds of colour photographs and insights from revered saints of Braj. Addressing the media, Vineet Narain expressed hope that the book would inspire greater awareness and sensitivity towards preserving Braj’s sacred heritage.
